EasyJet, one of Europe's leading budget airlines, has announced two new routes to Ljubljana, Slovenia: one from Paris, and the other from Milan. One-way ticket prices will start at €19,99, including airport taxes and fees, and service will begin this fall. The Slovenian Tourist Board expects that easyJet traffic to Slovenia will grow by 70 percent next year, in part because of the new flights from Milan and Paris.
Ljubljana is gearing up for increased tourism with two new guided tours: one by boat to the Ljubljana Botanical Garden (which celebrates its 200th birthday this year), and the other a "Happy Johnny" open-top double-decker sightseeing bus.
Another service for visitors is the Urbana-Ljubljana Tourist Card, which is valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours and includes:
- Local transportation by bus, funicular, tourist train, river boat, and bicycle;
- Admission to a long list of museums;
- Admission to Ljubljana's Castle, Zoo, Arboretum, and Botanical Garden;
- Guided city tours, digital guide rental, and free Internet access from Ljubljana Tourism Services.
